Adam Powers, Pastoral Assistant: [EMAIL: adamwpowers@gmail.com]
Adam and his wife Holly grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where Adam lived on Atlanta's north side (Alpharetta), while Holly lived on Atlanta's south side (McDonough). Adam and Holly both attended and met at Valdosta State University, where Adam graduated with a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, and where Holly graduated with a degree in Economics.
Adam and Holly were married in 2007 shortly after Adam began his studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. During his four years in seminary, Adam served as a College Pastor in a multi-ethnic Asian Presbyterian church called Crossroads. Two years later Crossroads merged with St. Paul's Presbyterian church in midtown Atlanta, where Adam's role changed to pastoral intern.
Throughout this time as a seminary intern God began to grow an overwhelming passion in Adam to preach the gospel, from the whole Bible, to as many people as he could, as often as he could. He summarizes his calling in the phrase: "Leading the people of God, into the enjoyment of God, for the glory of God." God used this passion to lead Adam to Safe Harbor as the Pastoral Assistant in the Summer of 2011.
Adam and Holly have one son, Jack.
