MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) serves moms of children aged conception through kindergarten to encourage, equip, and develop them to realize their potential as women, mothers, and leaders. The cost of the year is $34. Your registration fee covers your $24 MOPS International Membership, which entitles you to weekly encouraging e-mails from MOPS International, a yearly subscription to MOMSense magazine, the theme book The Mommy Diaries, and online benefits available at
www.MOPS.org/membership. The remainder of the registration fee covers monthly meeting fees at Safe Harbor.
The 2008 theme for MOPS is “Adventures in Mothering.” If you’ve ever been to an amusement park, you know the thrills and sometimes unexpected occurrences that await, and we’re looking at motherhood this year as just such an adventure. If you want to make connections with other moms at this unique and challenging period of life, come and try out a meeting for free!
In addition to the monthly meetings, we arrange play dates, moms’ nights out, and family events to encourage deeper relationships. Our meetings are open to EVERY mother of preschoolers – working, stay-at-home, single, divorced, and teen moms. We all have our motherhood in common, and together we can find answers to the questions and challenges that motherhood brings.
We meet at 6:30 PM at the church on the 2nd Thursday of each month September through May. If you haven’t checked MOPS out yet, come to a meeting and try it on for size! You won’t regret it, and you’ll meet moms experiencing the same joys, frustrations, wonders, and excitements that come with having preschoolers at home. For more information, contact Kathy Guerra (410-643-7366) or the church office (410-604-1700).
